Welcome to the Vancouver Island Firearms Safety Training Website, we are a Canadian company providing professional instruction for the Canadian Firearms Safety Course (CFSC) and the Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course (CRFSC), as well as the Conservation and Outdoor Recreation Education Program (CORE).
Our mission is to provide quality firearms training to the residents of the Comox Valley area at a reasonable cost. We are located in Central Vancouver Island in beautiful British Columbia.
The level of instruction is geared towards the whole family, both male and female, from the very beginner to those having years of experience and wishing to learn something new or to confirm what they know is current with regards to new laws and regulations. Students as young as 12 years to as comfortable as 85 have enjoyed a day in our home environment.
If you are interested in obtaining your Firearms License (known as the Possession and Acquisition License or PAL) let us show you how to safely handle and use firearms responsibly and in a way that is enjoyable for everyone.
If you are interested in Hunting or are an avid outdoors person, then the CORE program is what you need.
We offer the safety course out of our home. This allows us to keep down the overhead costs and we can pass the saving on to you. When it seems that all other providers are increasing their prices, we are able to maintain ours. We encourage you to shop and compare!
Non restricted course = $200
Restricted course = $100
PAL Challenges = no longer allowed
CORE Challenges = $30 each
We also offer other services including live firing courses, Proof of proficiency for obtaining an Authorization to Carry (ATC) as well as assisting anyone looking to dispose of unwanted firearms or assisting with estate sales of firearms.
